Phew. So it’s been awhile. Interesting things have been afoot. Most notably. I admitted myself to the ER for stomach pains last week. It started at about 4am in the morning, and felt like a molten hot baseball had been jammed into my gut. So I managed to limp into work, decided it probably wasn’t a good idea that I stay, and went home for a couple of hours, attempting to sleep it off. After that, I end up at the ER.

I have gallstones.

What, the, hell. I guess it can be attributed to massive changes in my weight in relatively short periods of time, multiple instances in fact. So I’m now limited to a 50g of fat a day diet. I’m not sure for how long, although I’m just assuming forever. This shatters my self imposed illusion of mind over matter. So, the good doctor in the ER gave me some Hydrocodone, and sent me on my way. I’m a bit relieved though, he mentioned the fact that it wasn’t necessary to remove my gall bladder, especially since I didn’t fit the normal stereotype of “fertile, female and forty”. Good thing I’m none of those.
